Partners Update
Marin Organic Certified Agriculture's (MOCA) Anita Sauber was named the April Marin County Employee of the Month. As an Agricultural Inspector III for 23 years with the Agriculture/Weights and Measures department, Anita has done an extraordinary job overseeing the MOCA program and the many services it provides. When MOCA started in 2000, there were no forms, procedures, databases, or new staff. Anita led the way in developing and implementing the program. In just over 11 years, the acreage of certified organic agriculture has increased from under 400 acres to now more than 25,000 acres. Anita is the first one to acknowledge the great team within Marin’s Agricultural Department and the dedicated farmers and ranchers of Marin for making this possible. Conversely your team members and the Marin agricultural community thank you Anita for your respectful leadership and tireless commitment. Well done and well deserved.
AIM Digging its new Digs
The office is located at 400 Smith Ranch Road next to the Marin airport. It gives Executive Director Brigitte Moran and her entire team more space to organize and run the Farmers Markets and other programs. To the entire AIM staff, congratulations on enduring the stress of moving and, more importantly, landing at a great space for your operations.
