A permanent farmers market goes to the voters

Marin residents will have their chance to give  thumbs up for the permanent Farmers Market Canopy and Hall at the Marin Civic Center, an effort led by the Agricultural Institute of Marin.  On the June 3rd Marin County Ballot will be Measure B - asking Marin voters to approve a permanent farmers market, nothing more and nothing less.  Nothing more because the measure is only for approval to use the land, and will not result in additional taxes.  Nothing less because voter approval makes it possible to bring farmers and customers together in a dedicated place, celebrating healthy food and strong community ties.  This new building and outdoor plaza will be a gateway to the Farmers Market which will be expanded to three days.  Much of which will be under cover providing for full, yearly access to all of the market.
