Join us for the next workshop in a series! 

This workshop is geared towards prospective, beginning, or intermediate farmers interested in raising broiler flocks free-ranged or on pasture.

During this day-long workshop, participants will get familiar with several aspects of pastured-poultry production. The workshop’s teaching approach is focused on participatory learning and will alternate between presentations, case/”scenario” discussion, and Q & A sessions. The workshop will also feature a hands-on processing workshop to teach participants how to slaughter and dress meat hens.

The day will also include networking opportunities with other beginning farmers! Lunch will be provided and a light breakfast will be available in the morning.

The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Santa Rosa Junior College's Shone Farm, and lunch will be provided. A fee of $20 will cover registration, materials, and lunch.
